Link shortening historically was necessary to make posts shorter as some networks, particularly Twitter, were counting the length of the link against your total tweet length. Today, this is no longer the case but we still shorten links to give our users powerful features and more detailed reporting.

Link Shortening Options

Option 1. Using the system default link shortener

By default, Social Report's link shortener is It is automatically enabled as soon as you create an account with us.

Option 2. Using your own domain for link shortener

You have the option to use your own custom domain (vanity URLs). It is available as part of our white labeling services. If you're interested, please contact support.

Advantages and features of using Options 1 and 2:

  1. Link frames - adds a call to action to every link you share.
