Use active language in your Tweets. This makes your Tweets easier to read and gets your point across without fluff. Further, this avoids unnecessary words so you can more easily fly under the 280 character limit.
Use visual media as much as possible

Visual media is proven to increase engagement on social media posts. In fact, studies show that people remember 65% of visual content three days later, compared to a paltry 10% for written content—pretty insane stuff!
Further, Twitter stats show that Tweets with visuals are retweeted 150% more than Tweets without. So yeah, you NEED to be using images and video in your Tweets.
Use call-to-actions to increase clicks

Always use call-to-actions when promoting products or services. This gives your audience a reason to click own your link versus scrolling on.
Oh, and your call-to-action doesn't have to be anything crazy. A simple "click here for more info" or "check out this blog post" works great!
Share awesome third-party content

For bonus points, use Social Report's Link Frame feature to brand third-party content.
This feature lets you add a banner to the top and bottom of your third-party content with a logo and call-to-action button, so users can go back to your site after they read.
Keep your Tweets short and sweet

Tweets under 100 characters are the highest performing. And it's easy to see why: they're easy to digest, and you don't run the risk of your audience members losing interest mid-way through your message.
Use the right hashtags at the right time

Hashtags are a great way to get your products in front of new people, but don't overdo them.
Only use a few hashtags that are related to your Tweet, and don't stuff Tweets with unnecessary or unrelated hashtags. If you do this, chances are your Tweet will end up in front of the wrong eyes.
Tag other Twitter users (when appropriate)
